Pampering your Goddess Within

by Demetria Clark

This summer has been hot and sultry. Unfortunately when one is running

around after babes, weeding the garden, doing another load of laundry and making dinner, it can be really hard to feel like a Goddess. The following are a few simple ways to pamper yourself and feel fresh and new. These recipes are for rejuvenation and releasing stress.

Facial and Body Mist

Refreshing Mist

Fill an 8 oz. Mister bottle with water

Add

5 drops Rosemary Essential oil

5 drops Peppermint Essential oil

5 Drops Grapefruit Essential oil

10 drops Lavender Essential oil

Shake well. Close your eyes and gently mist the air and walk into the mist. Test on arm first to assure the oils are mixed and that they are not too strong. Some people add more oils or less depending on personal preference. You can also mist yourself upon leaving the shower, after drying or when you feel you need a pick me up.

Relaxing Mist

Fill an 8 oz. Mister bottle with water

Add

8 drops Clary Sage essential oil

10 drops Lavender essential oil

5 Drops Chamomile essential oil

5 drops Cypress Essential oil

Shake well. Close your eyes and gently mist the air and walk into the mist. Test on arm first to assure the oils are mixed and that they are not too strong. Some people add more oils or less depending on personal preference. You can also mist yourself upon leaving the shower, after drying or when you feel you need a pick me up.

Mama Stress Massage oil

1 ounce carrier oil such as sweet almond, apricot kernel, olive, if the

stress is really bad anything you've got.

12 drops Clary Sage

12 drops Lemon

6 drops Lavender

Mix the oils well and store in an air-tight, dark glass container. Massage

gently into the feet. The feet have the most pores in the body. If you rub a

fresh clove of garlic on your feet you will be able to taste it in your

mouth. This blend is great for a foot or leg massage. As a foot massage can also aid stress relief in and of itself, this seems to be a great

combination.

Take a few minutes everyday, while the baby is sleeping, while the kids play with legos, when ever and spend a few minutes on yourself. Sip a cup of tea, put your feet up and enjoy yourself because your wonderful and a Goddess.
